-->> IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT NEW DACHSER API GATEWAY << --

Dear API users,

In order to improve the quality of our services, we are changing the infrastructure of our API Gateway. All APIs are now available on the new gateway.

On February 2, 2023 the current gateway will be deactivated and therefore we ask you to migrate to the new one before this date, if not already done.

The migration consists of changing :

   • The domain from "api.dachser.com" to "api-gateway.dachser.com"
    • The header name "X-IBM-Client-Id" to "X-API-Key".

The API tokens are synchronized between the old and the new gateway.

If you encounter any problems afterwards, please contact our Service Desk at support@dachser.com.

You’re about to join the DACHSER API world

If not already done, you can visit our API library and find the API(s) you want to consume.

Take the time to watch the tutorial that shows the 3 steps described below.

2. Register an application

Before you can use an API you have to register your application.
When you register an application, the application is assigned a unique client ID.
You must use the client ID when you call an API that requires you to identify your application by using a client ID.

We advise that you create one application for TEST and one for PRODUCTION (see recommendations for detail)

3. Subscribe to an API

Finally, now that your application is registered, you need to subscribe to an API.

First starts with your “application for TEST” and subscribe to the “Trial Environment” of the API you’ve chosen. You can immediately start to implement the API on your side and test it with sample data.

When your development are done and you want to go live with production data, you subscribe to the “Full environment” of the API with your “application for PRODUCTION”. Don’t forget to replace the “test” token by the “production“ one. The usage of our API has to be confirmed by DACHSER before it is operational.

All done! You are signed up, registered, and ready to go.
